Queen Latifah has signed on to lead Fox Searchlight’s romantic comedy Just Wright, according to Variety. The story revolves around Latifah — whose other romantic comedy credit is 2006’s Last Holiday — as a physical therapist who helps a basketball player recover from an injury and falls in love with him along the way. The project was in development at Disney for the past six years before being picked up by Searchlight. Filming is expected to begin in May.

Well, I like Queen Latifah, I like rom coms, and I like it when the curvy girl gets the guy, so I’ll definitely be watching this one.

of course she can pull this off! if anybody can do rom-com’s and at least make it a little interesting- its definately Queen Latifah- Last Holiday wasnt spectacular filmaking but she was just gold- i like that she’s not overly cute and doing cheap pratfalls like the other girls…
