Joel Surnow, the cocreator of 24, is prepping a miniseries about the Kennedy family and shopping it for distribution, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Surnow is a well-known political conservative, and the pitch for the 10-hour project states that it will "unveil secrets" about one of the country’s most famous liberal dynasties, but producers promise that it will be balanced. Surnow will exec produce the $30 million Canadian-based production, called The Kennedys, with 24‘s Stephen Kronish and others. THR reports that the show could air domestically on a "major U.S. cable network."
