MGM and the Farrelly brothers have lined up Sean Penn to play Larry in their long-in-the-works movie, The Three Stooges, Variety reports. Jim Carrey is in negotiations to play Curly, a role for which he’d have to gain 40 pounds, and Benicio Del Toro is being eyed for Moe. The planned film is not a biopic; rather, it’s an updated take on the classic Three Stooges productions.
