Isaiah Washington facing eviction from L.A. home?

Isaiah Washington could be evicted from his residence if he doesn’t pay five months of rent totaling $100,000, according to multiple reports. In a complaint filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Sandalwood Properties alleges that the former Grey’s Anatomy star and his wife, Jenisa, have not been making the $20,000-a-month payments on their Venice home dating back to November. The couple was reportedly served with a "three day notice to pay rent or quit" on March 19. At press time, Washington’s agent hadn’t returned a call from the Associated Press seeking comment.

    Isaiah Washington didn’t even beat his girlfriend!

    It remains ridiculous that this fine actor was fired from a show for what was an admittedly stupid thing to do and say, but was blown well out of proportion. And just what did Knight and Heigel get out of this, since they are apparently still unhappy with the show and reportedly want out of it. The First Amendment protects even people who say stupid and offensive things and certainly Washington is not the only actor to ever use that word. The show is worse without him and he is apparently still suffering for something that was much less than a crime. Have we become so politically correct that people can’t work if they slip and say the wrong thing? I am absolutely in favor of gay rights and absolutely opposed to the use of abusive language, but we all will get further with education and forgiveness than the malicious manner in which this man was apparently ruined for a word that is unfortunately heard thousands of times a day.

    Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. I’m thrilled.

    Sam, I wish we all lived in a world where not being able to afford $20,000 a month in rent was considered suffering.

    Sam – I don’t suppose, the fact that he is living above his means has crossed your mind? A loser is a loser when you can’t pay your bills, he could have gotten by in a much less expensive home until a paying gig came his way. So now he can suffer for not learning the value of the mighty dollar.

    In reference to Sam making the comment that it is a shame that Issiah went down for saying a term we hear everyday. We may hear it everyday but we don’t need to hear it at work from a co-worker. I wonder what the fallout would have been if T.R. Knight had made a racial slur at work about Issiah.

    Where’s his stimulus package to save him??

    Do you really think that nobody insults African American actors? I’m sure that TR would not have been thrown off the show. I’m not aware of any actor losing a job for a racial comment and I have to believe that they have made them. Again, he never should have said it and he should have been dealt with, but firing him wasn’t the right way.

    @Sam
    I doubt TR would have been kicked off the show for calling Isaiah n*****. Despite claims of racial tolerance, it’s still politically correct to stereotype and insult Black people except for the Obamas. It’s insulting gay people that gets you in trouble. The fact that a Black woman fired Washington to be PC only adds to the insult.
    Is it any wonder the “gay rights = civil rights” arguments is resented by many Black people?

    @Sam
    One more thing. I agree Grey’s has gone downhill in terms of ratings and quality since Washington was fired. It’s seems like half the cast has left the show. You’d think Washington’s multiple apologies would be enough. But the “gay mafia” (a.k.a. gay KKK) lynched him anyway out of spite.
    This is what happens when PC runs amok. You may feel good punishing the “guilty,” but wind up hurting yourself in the long term.

    If TR Knight called Washington the n word, he wouldn’t be able to step out of his house, and for good reason because it would have been completely insulting, unprofessional and racist. The F word is the same level as the N word. Washington got what he deserved.

  • Laura

    And about gay rights being resented by black people: Black people are allowed to marry and adopt. Gay people are not and are still denied the rights straight people are granted. You think there’s going to be a gay president elected anytime soon in this country?

  • Dont need Hollwywood

    Why does anyone really truly care about this parasite on society. If any of use stop paying our rent or mortgage we would be out. I don’t see any of the so called liberal hollowwood people concerned about my house payment, or my job.
    We need to get back to priorities sheeple. Spend your energy on things you can change, and quit worrying about shallow people in a decadent world.
