Two years after his self-titled sitcom bowed, George Lopez has signed on to star in a late-night TBS talk show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will welcome celebrity guests and live music and comedy acts in "an outdoor street-party atmosphere." "George Lopez is a special talent, with an everyman appeal that makes him uniquely positioned to be the next great late-night host," said Michael Wright, exec vp, head of programming for TBS. "George and TBS are going to change the late-night television landscape and bring a brand-new energy to the talk-show genre by giving it a street-party atmosphere. We’re excited to see this show come to life."

he’s not funny at all. his sitcom sucked. this will suck. why is he famous?
Loved his show! One funny man! Can’t wait to watch!
TBS???? come on!!!!!!
yeah! I adore his humor! His show was brilliant! I look forward to seeing what he has to offer…I watch reruns of his sitcom every night before I fall asleep so I have something pleasant on the brain.
i’m on the fence. sometimes he’s hilarious, sometimes he’s way too stereotypical. there’s room for him on tbs though, let the man entertain
America, PREPARE TO BE ANNOYED!
This should be good. Lopez is hilarious. Bout time a Latino got a talk show. Figures it wouldn’t be on one of the big Caucasian networks. People like Josh can’t handle comedy that doesn’t involve insulting minorities only.
This man has already been given ample chance to prove he’s not funny. Since the cancellation of his sitcom, he’s also proven he’s a racist! This will be cancelled faster than the Chevy Chase Show.
