David Letterman announced during a taping of tonight’s Late Show that he and his longtime girlfriend, Regina Lasko, were married last Thursday in a small town in Montana, reports the Associated Press. Lasko and Letterman have a five-year-old son, Harry. The host said he began dating Lasko in 1986, and joked that in staying unmarried for so long he was the "last of the real gunslingers."

What EW is not reporting is that Letterman married his girlfriend at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana, what a weird cheapskate! After dating for 23 years this is the best he can come up with? What a creep. The guy has millions of dollars and he ends up marrying his girlfriend in the cheapest, most no-frills manner possible. You mean to tell me that they don’t have any friends or family that might have been interested in this event? Letterman has always seemed like a really angry person to me but I never appreciated the depths of his insular behavior. Did he even give her a ring or did he tie a piece of string to her finger?
To Jeff W-They haven’t been dating 23 years! It was a joke. They have been together since 2001. And Dave seems like a down to earth guy. Why does every celebrity need a blow out wedding? Tons of people get married this way every day.
