Up, the upcoming Disney/Pixar release, will be the opening film this spring at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, marking the first time an animated movie has been selected as the festival’s opener. Cannes begins May 13,and Up, about an old man, a little boy, and their adventures flying in a house tied to thousands of balloons, opens stateside May 29.
