Three months after Summit Entertainment announced that Catherine Hardwicke will not be filming the Twilight sequel, the director is in talks to helm an adaptation of another young-adult fantasy series, Maximum Ride. Ride is a five-volume series by perennial best-seller list chart-topper James Patterson that follows six genetically altered teenagers known as "the Flock." (The teens are half human, half bird). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patterson will executive produce the film while screenwriter Don Payne is signed on to pen the script.

god ive been a fan!!! i love patterson!!! ive been hounding all his books all my life and alex cross chronicles were really awesome!! i hope this push through and he would be recognized as stephanie did ^o^ … now, i wonder what would stephen king would comment this time, hmmm… please keep posting about these superb authors, directors and we’ll surely wont miss it. yey i cant wait!!!
now i cant stop talking about him, jeez!! when i first read “when the wind blows” i was really astounded how patterson intricately explained the experiment, how max survived the attachment of her wonderful wings… i also lost hope because i know this would be difficult to materialized on screeen because of things to be considered.. god i hope catherine and james would nail the details and come out with a fantastic cast because this is really awesome. ^o^

Maximum Ride is an exciting series ive read. i can read that book over and over again! I bough the 5th book on mon 16 and its awesome. it makes me laugh! Max is funny and how she describes Fang is something you have to crack up! Now the movie will be directed by Kathy. Boy that was some news to big time! I wouldnt want Selena Gomez or some jonas brothers to even be metioned! Theres gotta be someone else who can play Max. One said Kat Dann.. something. she looks pretty good. But plzz noo jonas! their ok if they stick to music but plz noo.
yeah its true that hardwicke did a icky job with the twilight movie…it was a REAL let down compared to the books.i mean really it a worldwide book and the couldnt get a better director??? really? why not some one who is a house hold name or something. like steven spielburg? man, i can only imagine how AH-MAZING he colud have made the movie. i hope the next director is much better. but anyways i really really dont want hardwicke to film maximum ride!!!! seriously dont let her kill any more best-sellers hollywood!!!!!! p.s. wher casting happerns please no

maximum ride is amazing and myself and many other people came up with this cast.
Itz 98% human and 2% bird, get it right!!! And Catherine Hardwicke did a HORRIBLE job with twilight, it was nothing like the book!!!!!
