Madonna’s first "greatest hits" album since 2001′s GHV2 will be released this fall, according to People.com. Madonna’s publicist hints that the album may be released in September, and that it will include a few new songs that the singer will record specifically for the collection. On Tuesday, Madonna’s manager asked his Twitter followers to weigh in on which hits should be included on the compilation, which will be the last Madonna album to be released by Warner Records (Madonna signed a $120 million deal with Live Nation in October 2007).

YES!
It should include songs that are fan favs from her whole career like everybody, burning up, who’s that girl, causing a commotion, get together, sorry, hung up,. Basically the songs she has rejected from previous Greates hits.
I just hope they use an older picture of her for the cover.
Has the music industry STILL not realized that nobody buys greatest hits CDs in the new age of iTunes? Whatever track list Madonna picks, I will have them all on my iPod already!
There’s already BEEN a greatest hits collection – The Immaculate Collection. Of course she’s done a lot of work since then, but let’s not lie. It’s like those artists that do farewell tour after farewell tour after farewell tour in order to sell more tickets.
Yes, an older picture from when she was hot: http://www.actressscene.com/search/label/Madonna
the new songs must be chartworthy ( especially in the hiphop/r&b infested american market ) so that the album becomes her 8th # 1 ( billboard chart )..if this will happen, she will tie with streisand as the female artist with the most # 1 albums in billboard’s history..come to think of it, ray of light and the immaculate collection sold gazillion of copies yet did not reach # 1 ( billboard )..ironically, both albums stalled at # 2…
I hope it will have the vibe of The Immcaulate Collection in which the sound was remixed as if all the “greatest” hits are mere new tracks of a new studio album. The new songs will surely be to die for. Osnt she going to release “The Beat Goes On” with kanye and Pharell?
Dont forget to go to Guy Oseary’s twitter account to let them know whta songs should be stipulated in the new Madonna hits album. Cant wait! Im so excited with the new songs! MILES AWAY is the latest single, please download from iTunes, masterbeat.com and amazon.com.
If she is going to release anything in the way of a retrospective, PLEASE release a full length dvd of the Re-Invention Tour. The snippets in her second documentary were appalling! Also, if she is determined to do a compact disc how about including a bonus cd of unreleased material and rarities, preferably from sessions with Pat Leonard, the collaborator with whom she has always done her most exquisite work!!!!! She has already done the greatest hits route… for an entertainer who seemily is always trying to revitalize her relevance, she needs to offer something truly unique besides two or three rushed and unworthy tracks!
she should release a complete career restrospective… much like cher did with “the best of cher”… make it it a double disc set at a special price ($9.99) with ALL of her hit singles. that i would buy.

A new greatest hits ??? why ! She better brings a descent VIDEO COLLECTION with all her videos out and the blond ambition + re invention tour out on dvd !!! she said she will be rememberd for her work in the pop bussines but she brings nothing out on dvd and the other stuff of her on dvd we are already sick of seeing it over and over !!! she is so boring , look at other great pop ladies such as kylie minogue there bringing out dvd’s of their work !!!! so please bring out some stuff no dvd , its the older stuff that make you what you are today not your new borieng work !!!
If it’s to contain Holiday, I wonder if the 7″ version (if that’s the one that’s most likely to be used) should be tweaked slightly by re-adding the album version’s soft, 8-second introduction plus the part of it where she sings “Holiday, Celebration / Come together, In every nation.” I also think it should include the original and hard-to-obtain (at least in high quality) 4:50 vinyl mix of Burning Up, as well as Who’s That Girl and the more or less forgotten Gambler (unless its inclusion would have to be at the expense of a more popular song). Be good too IMO if all the songs appear in the order in which they came out as singles.
