Paramount and DreamWorks have slated a third Transformers movie for July 1, 2011, according to Variety. The announcement comes three months before the Transfomers sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, hits theaters on June 24 of this year. Apparently, it does not mean that the threequel is officially greenlit, but only that the studios have staked their claim to the all-important July 4 holiday for the film. There’s no word on whether director Michael Bay or stars Shia LaBeouf or Megan Fox would return for the film.

Cool! It should be good
Well we all knew that there would be a third one we just didn’t know really when it would come out.
All we need is a Will Smith movie coming out during that weekend and we have a box office showdown!
transformers vs will smith would be awesome, but the movies would not do that great box ofiicely because they came out at the same time.
transformers 2 is the best movie i have ever seen.. they should come out with a 3 one
2 was good. Would love for them to “explain” all the aliens flying about, being on TV, etc, as a series of movie stunts for some upcoming sci-fi flick. Then Bay/Spielberg could poke fun at themselves making a sci-fi flick in the midst of a sci-fi flick, and, heck, they could probably even include Transformers toys as well.
If Shia LaBeouf is not in the third movie it will suck!!!I love him because he seems like an average guy that i would hang with.LOVE HIM..hollz Manch NH
