Chevy Chase could be looking at his first regular primetime series gig after 40 years in the business. He’s been cast in the NBC comedy pilot Community opposite The Soup‘s Joel McHale. The Hollywood Reporter describes the show as “Stripes at a community college.” McHale’s character, a lawyer, returns to college after his degree is deemed invalid; Chase plays a classmate who’s been married five times.

Does this mean that Joel is leaving The Soup?
I’ll watch anything with Joel in it. I just hope he stays at The Soup, too.
Yes, Joel Freekin’ McHale!! Would love to see this show work, but, ah, please don’t give up the day job. We like our soup.
