Lindsay Lohan: Arrest warrant issued

An arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court on Friday, related to her 2007 DUI and hit-and-run case, according to People.com. While the exact nature of the charge is unknown, arrest warrants can be issued for any number of infractions, including minor administrative problems like failing to update an address. Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, called the warrant "a misunderstanding," and said that she has been complying with the terms of her probation. On Saturday, Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said that the police are not ”actively looking” for her, though if they came in contact with her, "she’s subject to arrest." She is expected to attend a hearing on her case scheduled for Monday morning. The star, whose film Labor Pains opens in May, is currently serving three years’ probation for the May and July, 2007 incidents, in which she was alleged to have been in possession of cocaine.

Lindsay, I wish that we didn’t love each other so damn much. . . . .I’ll be in Rehoboth Beach, from now, until Labor Day. Cooper

    Who cares?

  • Kayla

    I care.
And I don’t understand why this is coming up a year and a half later. O_o

I guess Lindsay and Samantha Ronson will be on tv soon with Ronson driving Lindsay around in a white Ford Bronco with the police in pursuit.

  • JR

Well, at least her skank Ronson has prepared her for what she’ll get in prison.

I wish this two girls had a car crash to brake their necks… They need something stronger as a lesson.

You’re issuing an arrest warrant TWO YEARS after the DUI thing was settled? They gave her probation and NOW they want to change their minds? Isn’t this a violation of the whole double jeopardy law? You can’t charge a person twice for the very same crime? I don’t care if you like Lindsay Lohan or not and you think she deserves every bad thing coming her way, you can’t tell me there isn’t some obvious bias going on here. It took Paris Hilton three probation violations to throw her ass in jail, and she got out two days later due to “over-crowding”. If it wasn’t for the public outrage over that, Paris wouldn’t have served 20 days in jail. Of her 45-DAY SENTENCE. Seems to me law enforcers in California only put certain people in jail based on whether they personally like them or not, not on the basis that they are a real threat to society.

    @neonpie
there is no violation of double jeopardy if the warrant is related to something that violated the terms of her 3 year probation agreement, if you had read the article more closely you would have noted that….but i can say i agree, it sounds like this is simply about making some headlines…

No one said anything about the courts changing their minds or recharging her with the same crime.
…”arrest warrants can be issued for any number of infractions, including minor administrative problems like failing to update an address” …
…”the police are not ”actively looking” for her, though if they came in contact with her, “she’s subject to arrest.” “…
maybe, just maybe, she DIDN’T follow all the rules – or some paperwork got misplaced. So there is no violation of the double jeopary law or anything else.
And neon pie … you don’t think a hit-and-run is a threat to society?

  • NeonPieSucks

    NeonPie,
You have no idea what the warrant is for. None. Did you even read the article? Why get all bent outta shape and start spouting “legal terms” when you have no clue whatsoever what the warrant is for. Have a Coke and a smile…

Now, isnt that ridiculous. I still have a PA license and have lived in Seattle for two years without updating my license or address. If everyone guilty of not updating an address were arrested, we probably wont have anyone in the US again then. Seriously, the LA police should leave the girl alone.

  • goodcallneonpiesucks

i agree neonpiesucks that neonpie sucks.

lindsay belong to jail. obviously she still haven’t learn her lesson. jail not clubs and party will straighten her up.she in denial and feel the world owns her not the other way around. its not your parents fault you’re screwed up. u make ur own choices therefore take responsibility. she thinks its cool to drink and take drugs. doesn’t she realize she looks like an idiot in public, and people think she’s a loser. shes needs jail not rehab where its more like a spa rather than treatment.

  • americanfox

    Hey Neon Pie,
I agree with you. Whatever happened to our laws and justice. This is the United States Of America we live in!
But you know what…. for the beeaatch I take an except. Throw her in Jail now!!

  • Trekkie

    Jackson,
Are you on probation? If you are and haven’t updated your info with PA then you are in violation of your probation. That is one of the reasons that there is a Warrant for Lindsay … she MAY HAVE not complied with all the rules of her probation. It has nothing to do with her just not updating her address with DMV …
And by the way, I don’t claim to know the laws in Washington, but in most states if you live there and have a job in that state you only have 90 days to change your drivers license to that state.
