The Dancing With the Stars curse claims three more. On March 11, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was photographed leaving an L.A. dance studio wearing a cast on his left leg. An ABC spokesperson confirmed the injury and said, "He has decided to continue because he loves the show so much. He has seen a doctor and is taking precautions and resting his foot whenever he can." Also soldiering on is Steve-O, despite on an on-going back injury. In a statement released yesterday, the Jackass star said, "A physical therapist has told me that nerves are being pinched in my back and it is in spasms because of inflammation related to torn muscles…. I’m still rehearsing every day, but walking through my salsa routine, rather than practicing the physical stunts and tricks that are incorporated into it. It is going to be a risky routine that I hope to pull off." Finally, Gilles Marini is not letting a separated shoulder keep him from the quick-step. In an interview with TV’s The Insider set to air on Monday, Marini said, "[Last] Monday morning I heard a little crack and had a sharp pain in my shoulder. I didn’t want to say anything. I had an X-ray and found out I have a separated shoulder. I got a cortisone shot and it’s much better."

What are these dancers doing to these “Stars?”
And all of this for a stupid glitter ball!
Just goes to show…..dancing is not for sissies!
Maybe Lisa Rinna was right. They need to practice less hours and have at least one day off.
Jeez. The show is doing something wrong. Picking unfit celebs, or working them too hard, or something. They lose 2 celebs before the show even starts, with the others receiving some injuries as well (though able to go on), now these 3 are injured. Gilles already had a groin injury, hope the shoulder continues to feel better. After the first week I think he is not only a contender but could be considered the favorite to win. Would be a shame to lose him now.
The Steve’s don’t have much of a change, but I do applaud them for continuing on.
My goodness this is a fragile bunch. Maybe instead of a disco ball, they should give the last one standing a medal and a copy of “Unbreakable.”
If these “celeb” contestants are being worked as intensely as pro dancers and athletes (difficult moves, long hours), then they need to receive the same kind of nutrion and conditioning. I mean, are they even stretching before they rehearse?
Invite our new American hero to dance, he is a start! We think he is the man of the year 2009 let’s vote at http://www.ournewamericanhero.com
I don’t know all of the dancers’ names, but I would endure a separated shoulder, severed limbs, shrapnel, or whatever else it took to dance with Gilles Marini’s partner. She is stunning.
I LOVE STEVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first show of this season- had really GOOD DANCE MUSIC! The kind of music that causes – Ballroom Dancers to ‘feel’ the Dance!! HAW
Someone please tell Lacey the show isn’t called See What Lacey Can Do!! She got in trouble last year for showing off! (I’d rather watch her brother Benjie personally!) Cheslie is much more talented and isn’t interested in silly stunts that could injure her partner – even if that is his profession! Go Chelsie!!!!
