Bad news for fans of Thor and The Avengers: Marvel Entertainment announced that it’ll postpone the release of both films by at least a year. Thor, an adaptation of Marvel’s fan-fave comic book, was moved back from July 16, 2010, to June 17, 2011, while The Avengers was postponed from July 15, 2011, to May 4, 2012. But rest assured, Robert Downey Jr. fans: Iron Man 2 will be released as scheduled on May 7, 2010.
Marvel also said Sony will release the much-anticipated Spider-Man 4 on May 6, 2011.

Are you trying to ruin my day? postponing to good flicks for a Sony pump as many villains/heroes into a movie that we can Spidey 4?
Scarlett as Black Widow? I don’t see it.
Rourke as a villain good – but as a hybrid Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo, no, not so good.
After the horrendous job done on Spider-man 3, Spidey 4 can take a few more years to actually have a good script.
But Scarlett will make “Beeg trouble for moose and squirrel”, I mean “big trouble for Tony and Rhodey”…I wonder if they can get Thor right. Too bad about the Avengers getting pushed back. I hope the economy doesn’t end up delaying or killing these projects.
I guess the economy is slowing Marvel’s ambitions down. They have $500 million to make films, and trying to make three films expensive films at once would have bet the whole pile. This way, they can stretch their run out.
Well I understand why they would move the dates back for Thor and Ironman 2 but in times like these the public needs to escape lifes strugles. If they film it they will come no matter what.
spider-man 3 wasn’t horrendous
but it wasn’t as good as the first two movies either
i’m okay with them taking their time with the movies, i can wait a year or two
as long as they keep their promise to make a movie a year, i’ll be okay with this
