'The Daily Show': Jon Stewart and Jim Cramer to face off on Thursday

Tags:

Get ready for a Mad showdown on The Daily Show. Mad Money host Jim Cramer will appear on the Thursday edition of Jon Stewart’s program. Last week, Stewart skewered the stock-market IQ of multiple CNBC personalities, including Cramer, on The Daily Show, and followed it up with more Cramer cracks on Monday. When Cramer sniped back on a Today show segment on Tuesday, Stewart returned fire on that night’s Daily Show.

Bring it Cramer! It was so petty going to the Today show and CNBC to cry about being called on a piece of unmerited advice that may have financially ruined some. Pendejo, indeed!

Let’s hope Stewart gives Cramer a good whupping!

Cramer should have just completely ignored the original remark on the Daily Show made about him. Then after he was made to look a bigger fool the 2nd time, he should have again shut up instead of crying on 2 other NBC shows.
Cramer has successfully made himself look like a whiney child. I loved how John went on Dora the Explorer and an MTV reality show. I that segment about 6 times today and laughed until I cried 2x.

Cramer is a worthless clown, whose financial advice should be ignored aside from its entertainment value.

I love Jon Stewart! Can’t wait to see this episode!

I hope Jon Stewart has been studying the tapes!
Jim Cramer knows stocks and the economy like the back of his hand. Booyah!

I have personally lost significant amount of money following this fool’s comments. He is nothing but a joke. It is about time someone pointed that out.
When you can give sound advise you do not have to bang pots and pans to get attention. I sincerely hope that CNBC cencels his show.

Guys please get it right. Jim is appearing on Stewart’s show to make up. He realizes now that it was not a good idea to pick fight with John who knew how incompetent Jim is.

  • WelldoneJohn

Jim is nothing but a crook. Look at the segment in today’s news where an old tape was being showed on how he fixed the prices of some stocks.

The crazy thing is Stewart didn’t single out Cramer until he tried to fire back. When you try to heckle a comedian, you have to prepare for the worst…Cramer is going to get his a$$ handed to him.

  • Deathpool Dave

Anyone that buys stock based upon the advice of a screaming guy pressing sound effect buttons on television deserves to lose the investment.

Jon, please don’t let Cramer off the hook. The public is there for him and not the other way around. His books etc. It’s a joke. When one has listened to a lot of the great radio/tv people over the years, covering “business and the markets,”you know he can’t possibly pull it off with his format. Why does he play with the audience, like a child, with those rolled up sleeves? He did some very unethical things while he was at Goldman Sachs! Thanks for being you….D.Hill

  • Do Your Homework

Wait a minute… this is entertainment weekly right? Ok just checking. I’m sure all the people reading this blog have a lot of knowledge when it comes to matters of economics and finance, not. It’s really sad to me that everyone loves to attack Cramer for what he’s done in the past when he has actually been honest about his wrongdoings unlike just about everyone else who has a history on Wallstreet. I can’t think of another person in this realm of business who has so candidly done so. The whole reason he did so was to point out these crooked ways to investors. Does everyone not recognize all the good this man has done? All he does is make recommendations and give free advice! You can take it or leave it. And for the person who stated they lost money earlier from taking his advice… you’re an idiot, stop blaming Cramer for your mistakes. You should have done your homework and made your own decisions.. grow up. Lastly, for all you Stewart lovers out there, realize he spins news too.

I’m disappointed that fake journalists on a comedy show – and Dora the Explorer’s turd-throwing money – have done more thought-provoking analysis of financial media reporting practices than supposed “real journalists” like WSJ or NBC. Hopefully this “feud” will mark a new era of better reporting standards, just as the Bush press corps were held more accountable after Colbert’s press corps speech in D.C.

  • Laughable

Cramer has the go-nads to make fun of jon stewarts ‘variety show’??? isn’t it cramer who runs around like a lunatic on drugs with his sounds, buzzers, toys and stuff?
Anybody who would seriously take stock advice from somebody on tv who has no idea about each individuals financial situation deserves to lose their money.
