Actor Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) will join Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman in the romantic comedy, The Baster, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Goldblum is slated to play the business partner and confidant of Bateman’s character, who secretly fathers his female best friend’s child when he replaces her artificial insemination sample with his own. Directed by Blades of Glory’s Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the
film is set to begin shooting in New York this spring.

Sounds tasteless…if it becomes a hit, it’ll be inspite of Aniston playing herself (40 years old, unmarried, desperate)…
All I have to say is I wouldn’t be surprised if she goes after Jeff Goldblum or Jason Bateman. I think Jen is over-rated and isn’t ready for the big screen. She should just stick to television. I’m so over her, she needs to stop playing the victim! She always talks about how she’s tired of Brad and Angelina this, Angelina and Brad that… if that’s the case then maybe SHE SHOULD STOP BRINGING IT UP! I wouldn’t watch this even if it went straight to television and it was the only thing playing on every channel.

PLEEEAASSE, she can’t carry a movie if she is the main starring actress. Look at the two movies that were a hit – Marley and Me (who wouldn’t see a movie on Labradors or OWEN).. and the other – Not so into You (just look at the other main starring actors .. Anniston is nothing compared to the others)..period!!
Why do all the nay sayers even care to go to Aniston’s web sites? It’s so easy to just leave them all alone. It must be hard to live in a fish bowl let alone to have rude comments posted daily about every move you make. The three avoid gossip and interviews because they are actors and not the public’s sick obsession. Let them all be. Really…who are you to judge another?

I think Brad and Angelina really started getting mega tons of publicity because of Angelina. I don’t live in the US and Jennifer Aniston was very popular in my country whereas when people heard the names of Brad and Angelina we were like who’s that. Now they are know becaause of they are connected to Jennifer. That alone goes to show that it’s not humanitarian works, their good looks or acting ability that draws the international public.
Jen’s range is very limited, but she has a good formula: rom com + popular male actor = hits ie. Marley & Me (Owen) and Along Came Polly (Stiller). Now she’s hooked up with Jason Bateman, so movie is probably going to do decent box office #s. In addition, she has secured the soccer mom fan base who’s obsessed and still indulges on pity parties for Aniston’s failed marriage to Brad Pitt. Jen’s got a winning combo !!
