One Tree Hill vet Matt Barr has been cast in the CW‘s Gossip Girl spinoff set in 1980s Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will a wealthy Malibu scion named Keith van der Woodsen, who romances a young Lily Rhodes (Brittany Snow) during her brash teenage years. Since Lily’s married name is Lily van der Woodsen, fans of the show are already speculating that Barr’s character could be Lily’s future husband–and Serena van der Woodsen’s dad.

he totally looks like serena and eric… but then, so would his brother (if he has one which he totally does bc no way there’s no drama surrounding the vdw marriage). also, wasn’t lily married before vdw? or were all those other “dads” the kids put up with a.vdw.?

This is great. Matt Barr is the perfect character to play their Dad their some resemblance on Serena and Eric. Can’t wait for the spin-off.
