Nick Nolte will play a Vietnam vet-turned-steel mill worker-turned-recovering alcoholic-turned-martial arts expert in the Lionsgate drama Warrior, Variety reports. After tearing apart his family with his drinking, his remorseful character trains his youngest son (RocknRolla‘s Tom Hardy) for a mixed martial arts tournament that could have him facing off against his older brother (The Truth About Men‘s Joel Edgerton). House‘s Jennifer Morrison costars. Pride and Glory‘s Gavin O’Connor directs. Cameras roll next month in Pittsburgh.
