Tom Cruise may decide to play President of the United States for a German director. Florian Henkel von Donnersmarck, who won the Oscar for foreign-language film for his drama The Lives of Others in 2007, is in talks to direct Cruise in The 28th Amendent, a Warner Bros. film about a U.S. president who learns that a cabal is secretly controlling the government and is out to kill him, Variety reports. It’s still early in the process, and Cruise is circling five different projects right now, but if this happens, it will be a huge leap up the Hollywood power ranks for the gregarious von Donnersmarck, who speaks fluent English, but has yet to make an English language film.

That actually sounds like a Tom Cruise movie I’d pay to see
The Writer/Director of “The Lives of Others”. Dude, I’m there!
I am a fan of Tom Cruise and am very excited to hear this. Has anyone checked out his website? Here is a link – http://www.tomcruise.com/
I can not wait.
I anticipate a great movie. Unlike rzmsauce I’ve seen Tom Cruise movies and many of them are really good. A few negative people including gossip media doubted Tom’s last movie Valkyrie, but in reality people loved the movie and his performance. The movie is still running nationally and has hit box office records.
I honestly thank Tom is good pick for this movie.
TC and Valkyrie were robbed of the Oscars. Politicals trumps talents in Hollywood and Im sure TC will be recognized if he does some Jewish theme movie.
Love to see this.
sounds good
I hope Tom makes this movie and I wonder who’s other other actor?
Man this director is genius. Attach Cruise in it and it will be a brilliant movie. Cruise always entertains in many diverse roles he plays. I think Liam Neeson is perfect for the part. He was aced in Taken.
I hope they both ink the deal.
