Kirk Douglas may be the oldest person ever to do a one-man show. The 92-year-old actor, who suffered a stroke in 1996, will be performing his 90 minute-show, "Before I Forget," for four sold-out performances at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, CA, starting this Friday, according to an Associated Press story. The show, about his life and career, includes clips from the actor’s films and his Oscar acceptance speech, from 1996, when he won an honorary Academy Award. Douglas has made a 75 films over his career, including Spartacus, The Bad and the Beautiful, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Um, don’t get me wrong, Kirk Douglas is a legend and icon and all, but he’s way too old for this. Actually, it’s not about age, but the fact that he had a stroke and can barely speak let alone act and carry a show. Even if some people are curious and still want to see him – is this not pathetic? Be like Melissa from The Bachelor and go softly into the night!

Zach – I won’t wonder how pathetic you
will be if you are fortunate and lucky enough to age at all
