According to the BBC, Oasis’ first concerts in China — in Beijing and Shanghai next month — have been canceled because the Chinese government considers the group "unsuitable." The concert promoters say the Chinese culture ministry recently discovered that Noel Gallagher played at a Free Tibet benefit.

China’s such a backward country, I don’t even know why any band would have it on their tour lineup in the first place.
China may have a “backwards” leadership, but its people are just like us, and they enjoy music, too.
I hope Noel is proud of this cancellation. The band should wear it like a badge of honor.

Why not banning them? If he’s opposed to Chinese government policy, why does he want to come and perform here in China? And profit from it? Hypocrite!
He probably just wished to sneak into China, secretly hoping nobody would ever remember his past. Wrong! That crazy lady from near the north pole shouldn’t have made communications with the Chinese “dictatorship” either.
