Teri Polo, star of the Meet the Parents franchise, signed a deal with CBS to join their drama pilot, Washington Field, The Hollywood Reporter announced today. Polo will play a medical forensics expert named Amanda O’Donnell, part of a husband/wife team on an FBI squad that tackles threats to Homeland Security. The move marks a return to television for Polo who had a recurring role as political spouse Helen Santos on The West Wing and starred on the short-lived David E. Kelley series The Wedding Bells.
