Okay, seriously. Enough with the unnecessary remakes Hollywood! I mean, nothing against Russell Brand, but what’s the point? “Arthur” is a true classic, and the performances of both Dudley Moore and sir John Gielgud were utterly brilliant.
I mean, best case scenario: the movie is well done but unnecessary. Worst case: it sucks and tarnishes the name of a truly great film.
I will definately go to see this movie. I’m well acquainted with the humor and personal life experiences of Mr. Brand, and have faith he will bring a refreshing light to the remake of this role. OF COURSE the original is a classic, but it’s a great story. My only concern is how they will cover the ever so lovely “Arthur’s Theme”.
