Andy Richter will reunite with his old Late Night buddy, Conan O’Brien, NBC announced today. The comedic actor has signed on as the announcer of NBC’s The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, which begins June 1. Richter — who gave up his post as Conan’s Late Night sidekick in 2000 and went on to headline two TV series, Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Andy Barker, P.I. — will also be seen in the new show’s comedic bits. There was apparently a tease of this reunion last week: Richter returned to O’Brien’s couch for his final Late Night telecast on Feb. 20.

Happy that Conan and Andy are together again, but sad that Joel won’t be headed to LA!
I’m happy at this news…but it’s bittersweet. I’ll miss Joel so much.
I’ve watched Conan’s show sporadically for years (I’m not generally up that late), but I always enjoyed their camaraderie. I also watched both of Andy’s shows, even though they both died so quickly. :0(
Agree with the posters here: I’ll miss Joel. He was absolutely hilarious in the bits he was included in.
However, it’s fantastic to hear Andy will be back. Conan was surprisingly good without him, but it’ll be good to see them play off each other again. Two words: staring contests
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s Coney!
it’s sad that Joel won’t be there, but hopefully Max and the rest of the band stays on. what would Conan be without his small talks with Max or In the Year 2000 without La Bamba?
Richter also headlined in “Quintuplets” for Fox during that period- but come to think of it, it may be for the better that you didn’t mention it.
Does anyone agree with me that Andy is mostly talentless? It was sorta ridiculous when he left Conan in the first place to explore other things. Well look who’s come crawling back. I hope Letterman’s ratings soar at 11:35!
Meanwhile, do you need an economic stimulus package? Did you know there is a site where you actually earn quick money JUST for answering 3-question surveys!??
After you win enough money, you simply cash out and the money is sent directly to your Pay Pal account. How cool is that?
And each week they have a $250 drawing!!

I agree that it is bittersweet. I love that Andy and Conan are back!!!! I’m sad Joel won’t be in L.A. Another bad thing that had to happen with Conan moving to L.A…. which I still don’t understand why he had to move to L.A.!!!
It’ll be fun to see Conan & Andy work together again. They just click with their bits together. But I’m still unhappy that Jay won’t be hosting the Tonight show anymore. I don’t know just how many viewers are going to be willing to watch Jay every night at 10pm.

Well, this is good news. ConantheBarbarian was never the same for me after Andy left. I think Andy’s way funnier than Conehead.
andys funnier than conan okay whatever you say….but what joels not gonna be on conan o brien he was hilarious
I for one,and I know there are a lot of people that agree, will not be tuning into the Tonight Show any longer now that Jay is no longer going to be on and as far as Conan is concerned,I don’t think he’s funny in the least. As a matter of fact I think his humor , if you can call it that, is stupid and way below par for this show. They should have polled the entire country to see who we wanted to host.
