'Shield' creator's pilot dropped at CBS

CBS won’t be building a home for The Shield’s creator Shawn Ryan after all: The network has dropped Ryan’s latest project, Confessions of a Contractor, Variety reports. Based on the book of the same name, the show would have focused on an L.A. contractor and his rich clients. According to Variety, "the Confessions pickup was cast-contingent — and CBS decided not to go forward after a lead actor could not be found."
