Stephen Gaghan, who won an Oscar for writing duties on Traffic, will write the adaptation of Jon Stock’s upcoming espionage novel Dead SpyRunning. McG is attached to direct forWarner Bros. The movie will be the first in a trilogy, presenting the origin story of a newly trained spy with a tone described as a mix of the grittiness of The Bourne Identity and the wittiness of John Le Carre’s oeuvre.
