Following an entertainment website’s publishing last night of a closeup photograph of what appears to be Rihanna‘s badly beaten face, the Los Angeles Police Department has launched an internal investigation into the source of the leak. "The photograph has the appearance ofone taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintainthe confidentiality of victims of domestic violence," the LAPD said viaa statement released on Thursday."The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination."
The LAPD has not officially identified Rihanna as the alleged victim in the Chris Brown domestic violence case, but it said in its statement that last night it received "numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown."
The police statement encourages anyone with information about the source of the photo to call or visit the department’s website.

I am a mother of 3 teenage girls. I am apauled. His career needs to be over. Lovers have arguments all the time, but when someone throw a punch or smack they’re a coward. And all those people throwing around excuses for him and there’s two sides to a story are cowards too. Let it be your daughter, sister or friend who was abused and you would sing a different toon. No excuse.. I will never listen to another of his songs. My 3 girls are being told,not by me, their father how a man is supposed to treat a woman. Shame on the person who released this pic. Let’s be honest though, we all wanted to see the photo. Some people wanted proof, some wanted to match a picture with the descriptions, and some are just really nosy. That’s just human nature (not defending the person who posted the pic though).

It is really sad that Chris Brown could not use his words to express his anger or frustration. That is what happens when you grow up in a situation where one of your parents is beating the other and not using their words. The young man needs anger management classes and to be enrolled in a domestic violence program.
