How does anyone know that she got plastic surgery? Did they see their hospital bill? I don’t think so. Everyone should mind their own business and stay out of it. No matter how much it angers you, taxpayers are going to have to keep paying. What’s the use in talking about it? Money is going to be spent regardless if it’s on her or some other person. And like many of the other comments, it’s time to think of the children, not her. THEY ARE the ones that need help.
Okay, so I’m smug. Like I said, you’re entitled to your opinion. Here’s the questionnaire: Would you rather A) spend open-ended billions of dollars, much of which will forever remain unaccounted for, to invade another country for no good reason, or B) help pick up Nadya Suleman’s $1.5 million hospital bill? I choose B, thanks. Would you rather A) help financial insitutions pay for their corporate retreats and private jets as part of a “bailout” program, or B) help pick up Nadya Suleman’s $1.5 million hospital bill. Um, B again. Because you so obviously take issue with that opinion, to the point of condescendingly pointing out twice now that I must be too young to even warrant paying any attention to, I’ll set a couple things straight for you. I am a 47 year old physician and mother (so, not a “brother” either), who spent 6 years in the Army, 4 years in the Peace Corps, have fostered 7 children, and have adopted twice, give to charity and help my fellow man whenever I can.
It’s NOT an ideal situation, by any stretch of the imagination. Certainly not one any rational person would actively choose for themselves, and I understand a certain amount of anger. She’s clearly nuts, but I think they’re ALL clearly nuts (the Gosselins, the McCaugheys, the Duggars), not just the ones I find particularly unpalatable for one reason or another. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lawyer hasn’t already approached the Suleman family to bring suit against the IVF facility that performed this procedure on her when she was so clearly out of touch with what her body, her life and her psyche could sustain. Cosmetic surgeons have an ethical duty to say “no” to procedures when their patients are clearly not in their right minds. I simply question the wisdom and, well, the point in bullying someone who is CLEARLY mentally deficient in an online forum such as this, when it’s obvious that the kids are the only ones who are ever going to suffer for her choices.
I think there needs to be some sense of clarification…. The Gosselins are an educated, working, married couple struggling with PCOS and the effects of infertility… The Duggars have made a choice based on their religious beliefs (I personally don’t agree)AND again as a married couple have worked to provide for their children WITHOUT government assistance nor have they used fertility treatments the most they have ever had were twins… there is a BIG difference. I personally don’t care to have more than 2-4 kids with the actual number based on my income… but to group all of the families with a lot of children with Nadya is just ridiculous. Large families are not the issue, not taking or being able to take care of a your large family is…
Newsflash: Nothing personal, but I’m just not sure I’m on board with your brand of cynicism. Your logical fallacies notwithstanding, I was with you until you brought up the Gosselins and Duggars. I don’t need to rehash Antoinette’s comments, but there is a BIG difference. Even though the Duggars give me the creeps, by most accounts, they are able to support their family. Kate Gosselin went through fertility treatments because of her PCOS and lightning struck. Also, they have always been open about the fact they depend on their church and donations to get by. I’m just unsure why the Gosselins and Duggars are catching schrapnel over this.
So many people think this woman should get a job…but truthfully, who would hire her? When do they expect she would have time to actually do some WORK?
Big difference between the gosselin’s, duggars and THIS WOMAN. The Gosselin’s can afford their child and give their children a lot of time and attention and although the DUGGARS creep me out to the extreme and i think they are crazy….they too can afford & take care of their 18 children.

I feel very sorry for all of the children and consider all of it “child abuse.” I have never seen a dollar amount put on the daily care the eight new babies are requiring and who is paying that? What was this dumb broad thinking when she decided to have these children? And the doctor should be ridden out of town on a rail. Almost 100% chance the new babies will have MS. That’s not love. She’s nuts and should be punished and one way is by no more publicity. What a mess.
Dear Newsflash I agree with you about the money mispent for the war by Bush and by the fatcats on WallStreet. I am twice your age but love where you are coming from. I think we have become infatuated with Octomom to cover our own worries and failings. This is a scary time and we as a country would rather look around to find someone in worse trouble than we than to clean up our own household. What do you think?
It should be VERY clear to everyone that Nadia Suleman is a BIG liar. It is apparent that her motive for having kids was fame/publicity/money. She is very clever and manipulative. (See her old videos with boyfriend, changing statements about EVERYTHING, reality TV show,..)
Clearly she is NOT fit to raise kids. So her kids should be taken by Child-Services and given for adoption immediately.
After that she is free to do whatever … reality TV show, Porno,…

Why isn’t Welfare after Nadya to pay back the Ssi that she has received for some of her kids..It is a form of welfare and nothing has been said about paying one dime back..After she received a workers comp settlement..It should have come right off of the top of that money.. They even intercept taxes to pay welfare back. why not her?
