People.com reports that Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes has officially stated that stars Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are not leaving the ABC series. "That was a very interesting rumor," Rhimes reportedly said Thursday night at theNAACP Image Awards. "And it’s not true."Rhimes was addressing a widely reported comment co-star James Pickens Jr. made to US Weekly in which he said that both actors are indeed leaving the show. "That was absolutely taken out of context," Rhimes told People.com. "Things happen,and…I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don’tlike to tell you what’s going to happen on the show -– but that is a rumor." Pickens also spoke to People.com at the Image Awards, saying, "When the question was posed to me, I was more trying to congratulateKatie and T.R. on whatever they were going to do. But yeah, I don’thave any special info about it either way."

Shonda’s so full of crap. If they really weren’t leaving she’d have denied it straightaway in a PRESS RELEASE, not in People. Take a PR class, Shonda!

This is such BS! We all know that Katie and TR are not happy. Why deny? Just let them go. If Shonda read all the comments on ew about the story, she would see that they were mostly how them leaving was a good thing. GAH
Yeah, this is just plain weird. I love how people always use the “it was taken out of context” excuse. How the heck is what Pickens said taken out of context? What else could he have meant? “I was more trying to congratulate Katie and T.R. on whatever they were going to do”…huh?
Michelle: Let’s read a little closer. Shonda reportedly spoke about it at the NAACP Awards. People.com was just reporting it. She didn’t give an interview to teh trashy magazine. So take a reading class Michelle.
This is the same woman who said that Izzy would NOT be dying of a brain tumor at the end of the season and then later revealed that, well, it’s not a tumor, but some other sort of serious brain issue. So she wasn’t technically lying, just being extremely misleading. The show has been terrible for years anyway.
They’re not leaving in the same way that you kept insisting that Isaiah Washington wasn’t leaving? Stop BSing us, Shonda, and write a better show.
