The first verdict is in on comedian Demetri Martin: The comedian’s series, Important Things with Demetri Martin, debuted on Comedy Central Wednesday night and scored 2.4 million viewers for its efforts making it the most-watched series debut since Chappelle’s Show in 2003, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd.

He’s different but pretty clever to me. He seems to be able to achieve that acerbic type of wit but he also knows how to go kinda broad for the jokes. I can see how some people might not get him but he’s pretty funny to me. I hope the show does well.
