Joanna seems to have a checkered history in the music industry. She was selected to play the Broadway role of Annie in 1996 but was canned (check out billboard.com). Then she released a single in 2001 that was featured in the Legally Blonde soundtrack. In 2006 she released an album “This Crazy Life”. I don’t know if that was commercially successful or not, but I have listened to her CD many times and still love it.
I was surprised that she got into American Idol, although many others before her like Carly Simon had previous releases.
There’s more to this emerging scandal than meets the eyes!

if the producers knew since the first auditions that joanna pacitti had a contract, how did they manage to not look into what company she worked with? i think american idol was afraid of bad publicity and kicked her off.

ok so what you are saying may not be true. I went to a concert At Rancho Cucamungo Ca and she did a whole 1 hr show non stop and did not forget any worsd. I feel bad because she is an amazing talent I flew from pa to see this show. Its been a rough ride for her,contestants are told day one to please not read the internet blogs about themselves. A close friend of hers said she did. People wre angry that she was there, death threats,and lies about her. I guess my nerves would be the same lets stop bashing her. She will be fine I am sure she will just keep going and continue her dream which is to sing.

i think joanna paccitti’s song was great….she’s good, but the question is when you’ve signed with david geffen (can’t get better than that), where do you go from there? what went wrong? maybe she forgot her words too many times – seems she’s too emo and gets nervous performing live.
