HOWARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!
Has anyone ever taken a trip through(or worse, lived in) an area with nothing but AM radio and a couple of country stations? XM has saved many a trip for me, and if I had the opportunity for it “back in the day”, I would have jumped at the chance to listen to a better variety of music. If one looks at the amount of money spent to buy music and/or download the songs to MP3 vs the monthly dues, I think a lot of Sirius XM listeners truly feel they come out ahead.

Any Stern critics are just way off base. Whether you enjoy the show or not is irrelevant. The Stern show has already paid for itself. There has been many estimates on the number of subscribers he has brought in. The absolute lowest number is 7 million and it is likely much higher. 7 million would put the revenue at slightly over 90 million per year. It costs a ton of money to launch the satellites and manufacture radios. This is a business that is in it’s infancy and has a product that is outstanding. Terrestrial radio has been pathetic for a long time. Satellite will be a success, just give it some time.
Excuse me, I meant over 90 million per month. The point is that you could cut the subscription price in half and still The Stern Show has been in the black for a long time.
some one needs to save sirius you can’t get radio in upstate NY.yo Howard save your job cut your pay
