The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers announced today that talks will resume Feb. 17 and 18 in Los Angeles. It’ll be the first meeting between the two sides in Hollywood’s latest labor dispute since November, and it follows the Jan. 26 ouster of SAG chief negotiator and national executive director Doug Allen, who has since written an open letter in support of his staunchest ally, SAG President Alan Rosenberg. Rosenberg futilely attempted to mount a legal challenge earlier this month in an effort to reinstate Allen, who was booted by moderate members of SAG’s national board. Allen was replaced by two people. "Alan may wear his heart on his sleeve, but his heart is in exactly the right place," wrote Allen.
The actors have been working without a contract since last June.
