Michelle Obama to appear on cover of 'Vogue' magazine

Categories: News

First Lady Michelle Obama is set to appear on the cover of the March issue of Vogue magazine, the Washington Post reports. The photo, taken by Annie Leibovitz, shows Obama leaning on a beige sofa at the Hay-Adams Hotel, where the Obama family stayed before the inauguration. She is wearing a magenta dress by Jason Wu, who also designed her inaugural ball gown. Her right hand rests under her chin, and her left hand is folded beneath her. She is wearing a diamond. Inside, she is seen in a black dress by Narciso Rodriguez.

First ladies have been photographed for Vogue since Herbert Hoover’s wife Lou, but Obama will be just the second first lady to appear on the cover of the magazine, following Hillary Clinton.
