HBO has granted a fourth season to its polygamy-themed drama Big Love, Variety reports. The show averages nearly 5 million viewers per episode when DVRviewing, repeats airings, and video-on-demand are factored in. Bill Paxton stars as a polygamous Utah businessman, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin play his wives. Branka Katic stars as an Eastern European waitress, who’s being courted in season 3 to join the family as a fourth wife. Season 4 will start production later this year for a 2010 debut.
