I think Kody w. should get the part of leah. well leah is suposed to be manly right well Kody isn't a prep.Kody is a big boned person, not fat but has bigger bones than most people.also i agree with a friend of mine that said whoever plays leah needs to be someone not that famous just like Kody! so it would be great for her.and as i said it needs to be someone people don't expect!!so choose Kody!

I have to agree with everyone else here. I think she would have just not been suitable for the role. I have nothing against her personally, but judging from what I've seen from her acting in the past, I think she is a bad actress. She seems WAY to overrated and talentless to be in the position that she is in right now.

Along with the fact that a few of my friends have met her and said that she's a rude, obnoxious witch a B, who treats everyone else like they aren't worthy of her time. They just said a simple "hi Vanessa" to her and she just looked at them like they were crazy while walking away, ignoring them. I seriously dislike her.

Disney stars are on the same level as Twilight. They have equal amounts of mucky sappy childish story lines. The only difference is instead of the sickeningly good for our children lessons, Twilight encourages sexually frustrated teens to lust after a Mary Sue character.

I'm not going to agree that Vannessa should play the part of Leah because personally I think she would do a crappy job. But I'm not trying to back her up it's just that Jackson Rathbone(Jasper Hale) did a part for DISNEY<-- 411 and he's in the movies so it should not matter if they are Disney stars. What matters is if they can act and can do the part well, then they should be able to do it. Once again I'm not backing her up. I despise her but just because she's from Disney doesn't mean she can't act. You haven't even seen her audition so don't judge if you don't even know if she can do the part. And if you hate it this much then you get up there and do it yourself. I'm sure your not perfect for the part either. At least she had the guts to try.

She has to much of a childlike voice and I would never take her a serious actor. She is a girl with alot of talent, more than many of us could ever dream of having, but i don't think she makes the best Leah.
The reat of the twilight cast has been made up of relatively unknown people, and adding someone as well known as her would be wrong. I've seen so many more comments saying no, that comments saying yes.I hope the casting people get wind of their fans disapproval, because thats who they are making the movie for.

i think alot of people are saying no because of her previous movies, i don't think thats fair. I'm saying no because i know her name and i don't believe that i could watch the rest of the movies without thinking, "thats vanessa hudgens". I'm saying no because i believe that they should find an unknown.
And I'm saying no because, i can see that this whole deal is making people angry. She shouldn't be cast for the role if so many fans are against it.

This is ridiculous! I'm 13 and I love Vanessa in the HSM movies but this role is not for her. Leah Clearwater is a serious role and completely opposite of Gabriella Montez. She needs to keep it in HSM and out of New Moon. I am currently re-reading the series and I am on New Moon and personally, Leah is way to bitchy for Vanessa. Vanessa Hudgens should NOT be Leah Clearwater.

I am not the biggest fan of this Hudgens girl, as I am not aware of any movies she is in besides the high school musicals, however, the amount of childish ranting and fit throwing I just spent twenty minutes reading is ridiculous. first of all i dont really care that vanessa biggest and only good work is high school musical, but please could they even consider a actress that can actually act. I mean to actually make this movie they way it should be you need some one that 1. knows how to act

No to Hudgens, i reckon. She's wouldn't fit the character. It's way off. There are others who could be perfect for it. Hudgens has a little mall rat, baby voice, no offense. Next thing i see, she's singing in the movie. Dyahaha...i shudder every time i see her on screen (in a bad way).
