Sounds like a very interesting movie project – I look foward to it. I’ve always applauded RUN DMC for their Ultra Clean Lyrics and FUN videos minus all the Booty Shaking Women. DMC had class. Unfortunately, today’s rappers DO NOT!!! Case in point – they (Today’s rappers) profit off of raunchy lyrics & glamourizing thug-life, and exploiting/degrading Black Women. So with that I say, bring on the RUN DMC Movie, hopefully these young rap artists will learn something. And lastly, why is Biggie Smalls considered the Greatest Rapper of all time??? According to WHO??? Once again, Black People have forgotten their Musical History.

Mr.Williams, BIG is considered the best rapper of all time because he is! Most black believe this to be true, unless they like 2pac! Not saying RUN-DMC isnt the best rap group of all time, because they are! But to degrade BIG like that is silly, he has and still does have the best flow today in hip-hop, alive or dead. No ones comes close, listen to both of his albums, and you will know why he is the best! If you still disagree, then you are a very, very dumb and naive man!

First of all, Rakim is the best MC of all time. He changed the way MCs delivered their rhymes and elevated the content to what it is today. He’s like the Marlon Brando of hip hop. Secondly, Run DMC was a great group, pioneers, without a doubt. But Wu-Tang Clan and Public Enemy are far superior, taking the music to places that no one could or has since. In regards to BIG, he wasn’t even the best rapper from Brooklyn. Guru of GangStarr and Jay Z are much better and more complex. You should to listen to Daily Operation or Reasonable Doubt. You may not change your mind but you’ll see that Biggie’s work is not substantial enough in size and depth to be ranked with them or 2Pac, KRS-1,Ice T, Ice Cube, Kool G Rap and others. However, there’s no reason for Mr. Williams to bring up black people not knowing their history because BIG was very talented and it’s understandable if someone would think he was the best. Many people do.

I’m not even a rap fan but this sounds like an interesting movie undertaking. Should be exciting.

    For Mr. ShakeSpeare,
Yes, I have listened to some of Biggie’s music, sorry, he can’t HOLD A CANDLE to The Treacherous 3, Spoonie G, The Crash Crew, and Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5. Mr. ShakeSpeare, Black Music History Class is now in session – so take out your Scooby-Doo pencil and WRITE. Your first lesson is entitled – 1979, Why Biggie Smalls IS NOT THE GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME. . . next you’ll be telling me James Brown is a better singer than Sam Cooke, oh brother. Read & learn Black People. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I actually am interested in this, but skeptical. I expand greatly on the topic here. Enjoy!
